Russia got the right to supply wheat to Saudi Arabia

Russian producers received the right to supply wheat to Saudi Arabia. This was reported to TASS by an official representative of the Rosselkhoznadzor.

“The Rosselkhoznadzor received official confirmation from the competent authority of Saudi Arabia to mitigate the requirements for imported wheat. This is good news for our farmers,” he said.

Prior to this, Saudi Arabia bought only barley in Russia. One of the main reasons hindering the export of Russian wheat to the kingdom market was the requirement for the complete absence in the delivered lots of wheat of grains damaged by a bug.

In April 2019, Rosselkhoznadzor specialists came to Saudi Arabia to check the quality of domestic wheat, samples of which were sent back to the end of 2018 and contained varying degrees of grain damage.
