In the first half of 2023, Armenia’s foreign trade turnover soared by 72.9% year-on-year to about $8.9 billion, the National Statistical Committee reported.
In June 2023 alone, the foreign trade was up 7.9% from the previous month while compared to June last year it was up 21%. In January-June 2023, the foreign trade turnover in AMD stood at 3 trillion 467 billion.
Armenian exports in the first six months of 2023 grew by 72.8% year-on-year to $3,266, 600,000. A 2.5% growth was recorded in June compared to June last year. In AMD equivalent, exports in the first half of 2023 totaled 1 trillion 273 billion.
Imports during the reporting period totaled $5,633,100,000, recording a 73% increase compared to January-June 2022. In June of this year, imports grew by 33.8% from June 2022. In AMD equivalent, imports totaled 2 trillion 194 billion. ($1 – AMD 387.09)
