Armenia’s foreign trade turnover grows by 67.8% in 11 months of 2022 to about $12.5 billion

Armenia’s foreign trade in the first 11 months of 2022 soared by 67.8% from the same time span in 2021 to around $12.5 billion, the National Statistical Committee (NSC) reported.

It said in November 2022 alone, the country’s foreign trade was up 74.5% when compared to November 2021, but compared to October 2022 it was down 2%. The foreign trade in Armenian drams was equivalent to over 5.3 trillion drams.

Armenian exports in 11 months of 2022, compared to January-November 2021, skyrocketed by 75.2%, amounting to over $4.7 billion. In November 2022 alone, compared to November 2021, the exports increased by 95.8%, and compared to October 2022, decreased by 8.4%. In dram equivalent, exports in January-November 2022 amounted to over 2 trillion drams.

Armenian imports during the reporting period amounted to over $7.7 billion, recording an increase of 63.6% compared to January-November 2021. Imports rose 69.9% in November 2022 compared to November 2021 and 2.4% compared to October 2022. In dram equivalent, imports in January-November 2022 stood at over 3.32 trillion drams.
