July 1 is the date of updated Canada-Ukraine free trade agreement’s taking effect

An updated Canada-Ukraine Free Trade Agreement (CUFTA) was issued by Ukrainian First Deputy Prime Minister and Economy Minister Yulia Sviridenko and Canadian Minister of Export Promotion, International Trade and Economic Development Mary Ng on June 26.
It will protect investments and develop the trade between Ukraine and Canadia. Ukrainian employees will get temporary entry based on eased and extended terms.
A free and open digital economic ecosystem will be built in Ukraine due to the use of components from the European Union, the United Kingdom, and Israel for goods exported to Canada duty free.
Trade between Ukraine and Canada was up by more than 55% in 2023 (695 million Canadian dollars).
