The cost of one tonne of exported Ukrainian agricultural products has grown 1.4 tonnes from $315 in 2024 to $443 in April 2025, Ukrainian Agrarian Policy and Food Minister Vitaly Koval said.
“That was achieved by increasing exports of value-added products, in particular, bioethanol,” Ukrainian media quoted Koval’s post on a social network.
Average prices for the top five export products per tonne also increased, Koval said. This includes $1,174 for vegetable oil, up 37.8% from 2024 ($852), $217 for corn, up 27.1% ($171), $231 for wheat, up 27.4% ($181), $2,385 for poultry, up 11.2% ($2,145), and $409 for soybeans, up 4.3% ($392).
“Exports of Ukrainian agricultural products have totaled $1.1 billion, or 2.5 million tonnes since the beginning of this year,” Koval said.
In turn, Ukrainian media reported, citing the press service for the Agrarian Policy and Food Ministry and statistical data from the State Customs Service, that Ukraine exported 34.451 million tonnes of grains and legumes from the beginning of the marketing year 2024/2025 (July-June) to April 21. This includes 1.627 million tonnes shipped since the beginning of this month.
The shipments stood at 40.289 million tonnes as of April 25 last year, it said.
Since the beginning of this season, Ukraine has exported 13.623 million tonnes of wheat (versus 15.404 million in the marketing year 2023/2024), 2.247 million tonnes of barley (2.178 million tonnes), 10,800 tonnes of rye (1,200 tonnes), and 18.067 million tonnes of corn (22.231 million tonnes).
Ukraine exported 57,000 tonnes of flour from the season beginning to April 21 (versus 85,700 tonnes in the marketing year 2023/2024), including 52,900 tonnes of wheat flour (81,000 tonnes).
