Ukraine’s negative balance of foreign trade in goods increased by 48.5% in January-April 2025 versus the same period in 2024 – to $11.512 billion from $7.755 billion, Ukrainian media said, citing a statement by the State Statistics Service.
Ukrainian exports decreased by 6.9% YoY to $13.312 billion, while imports grew 12.6% to $24.824, it said.
The seasonally adjusted volume of exports decreased by 4.4% to $3.369 billion, versus a 2.3% decline in imports to $6.529 billion in April 2025, compared to March 2025, the service said.
The seasonally adjusted balance of foreign trade was negative and amounted to $3.161 billion in April 2025, while also being negative, $3.163 billion, in the previous month.
The export-import coverage ratio stood at 0.54 in January-February 2025 (versus 0.65 in January-April 2024).
Foreign trade operations were carried out with partners from 217 countries, the service said.
