Serbia and China have signed a free trade agreement that includes 10,412 Serbian products and 8,930 Chinese products, Serbia’s government said.
Furthermore, the countries signed other agreements, including one about economic development policies, another to boost industrial and investment cooperation between Serbia and China, and a medium-term plan for jointly participating in the “Belt and Road” initiative, the Serbian government said in a press release on Tuesday following the signing of the agreements in Beijing.
In 2022, the volume of trade between the countries amounted to $6.15 billion (5.8 billion euro), according to official data, with exports from the Republic of Serbia amounting to $1.17 billion, and imports from China amounting to $4.98 billion.
Earlier this week, Serbia also signed two deals with Chinese companies for the construction of some 300 km of road infrastructure worth up to 4 billion euro.
