Serbian Post Kraljevo logistics centre restarts work after overhaul

Serbian state-owned postal operator Posta Srbije said it has reopened a regional logistics centre in the central city of Kraljevo following a reconstruction.

Posta Srbije’s Kraljevo logistics centre is its fifth one in the country to introduce a robotic system for automatic sorting of postal items, after those in Nis, Novi Sad, Kragujevac, and Belgrade, the postal operator said in a press release on Monday.

The new system counts 42 robots, with a capacity of 2,500 postal items per hour, and ensures faster processing and shorter delivery times.

“The strategic goal of Posta Srbije was to equip all large logistics centres with robots and for new technologies and artificial intelligence to become an integral part of business processes. By putting this centre into operation, we are completing the robotisation process in all large centres,” said Zoran Andjelkovic, Posta Srbije acting director.

Andjelkovic also said that by the end of the year, Posta Srbije will complete a tender for eDeliveries, which will facilitate its staff.

In the first nine months of 2025, more than 900,000 postal items were processed in the Kraljevo logistics centre, making it Posta Srbije’s fourth largest, after Belgrade, Nis, and Novi Sad.
