The Ukrainian Agrarian Policy and Food Ministry will determine minimum export prices on certain agricultural products taking into account delivery terms and in compliance with the International Rules for the Interpretation of Trade Terms, Ukrainian media reported with reference to the ministry’s press service.
At a meeting on Tuesday, the government endorsed a procedure for setting minimum export prices to be applicable to honey, shelled and in-shell nuts, wheat, rye, barley, oats, corn, soybeans, rapeseeds, sunflower seeds, soybean oil, sunflower oil, rapeseed oil, and pomace.
“Exports of certain types of products are prohibited if their prices as per a foreign trade contract are lower than the minimum export prices endorsed by the Agrarian Policy and Food Ministry,” it said.
The minimum export prices will be applied after introducing an export guarantee regime.
The Agrarian Policy and Food Ministry will determine minimum export prices for each type of product, taking into account delivery terms, by issuing a corresponding decision (order) before the 10th day of every month or, if such a day falls on a day-off, on the next working day. Minimum export prices will be published on the ministry’s official website and will come into effect the next day. The government’s resolution will take effect ten days after its publication.
