Ukraine’s deficit of foreign trade in goods increased 5.9% to $20.382 billion in January-September 2024 from $19.254 billion in the same period of 2023, Ukrainian media said, citing the State Statistics Service of Ukraine.
Exports of goods from Ukraine increased 12.9% to $30.839 billion in January-September 2024 year-on-year, the State Statistics Service said. Imports rose 10% to $51.221 billion year-on-year.
Ukraine’s seasonally adjusted exports grew 0.5% to $3.248 billion, while imports dropped 1% to $5.015 billion in September 2024 month-on-month, it said.
The seasonally adjusted trade deficit stood at $2.513 billion in September, down from $2.586 billion recorded in August.
The export-import coverage ratio in January-September 2024 was 0.6 (0.59 in January-September 2023).
