Armenia’s foreign trade turnover in the first quarter of 2022 amounted to $2.098.0 billion, which is 38.5% more than in the same time span of 2021, the National Statistical Committee (NSC) said today.
It said in March 2022 compared to March 2021 the foreign trade was up 15.6%, and compared to February 2022 it was down 10.6%. The first quarter foreign trade in Armenian drams was worth 1. 019.6 trillion.
Armenian exports in January-March 2022 increased by 26.9% to $731.8 million compared to January-March 2021. In March 2022 they were up 4% compared to March 2021, and down 12.2% compared to February 2022. In Armenian drams exports stood at 355.3 billion.
Imports during the reporting period totaled $1,366.2 billion, recording an increase of 45.6% compared to January-March 2022. Imports in March 2022 increased 22.5% compared to March 2021, and decreased 9.8% compared to February 2022. In Armenian drams, imports totaled 664.3 billion. ($1 – 467.28 drams).
