The value of exports increased by 7.4 percent and equalled $5.46 billion, while imports also increased by 4.8 percent, amounting to $8.08 billion in the reporting period.
The list of exports was headed by Kyrgyzstan ($1.04bln), Kazakhstan ($714.3mln) and Azerbaijan ($611mln), while imports were topped by Turkey ($2.21bln), the US ($1.59bln) and Russia ($1.48bln).
Motor vehicles dominated the list of top export items, reaching a value of $2 billion and accounting for 36.6 percent of the total exports. Following closely behind were ferro-alloys with a total export value of $310.5 million, constituting 5.7 percent of the overall exports. Wine of spirituous beverages secured the third position, with exports totalling $242 million, making up 4.4 percent of the total number.
In the meantime, the primary import commodities were motor vehicles, with imports totalling $2.71 billion, accounting for 20 percent of the total imports. Petroleum and petroleum oils took second place with $1.09 billion, representing eight percent of imports, followed by medical drugs packaged in doses, the import of which amounted to $513.1 million, equivalent to 3.8 percent of total imports.
In another figure of domestic exports, the body said the country exported locally produced goods worth $5.46 billion in the reporting period, marking a 7.4 percent year-on-year increase.
The Office said the share of the domestic exports in total exports constituted 43.3 percent and amounted to $2.37 billion, 1.3 percent higher than the same period of 2023.
