Georgia’s exports up in January-June 2023

In January-June 2023 the exports of Georgia (excluding non-declared exports) equaled USD 3 052.8 million, 19.3 percent higher year-on-year. Share of the domestic exports in total export constituted 48.3 percent and amounted to USD 1 437.7 million, 21.6 percent lower to the same period of 2022.

In January-June 2023 the share of the top ten trading partners by domestic exports in the total domestic exports of Georgia amounted to 76.3 percent. The top partners were Russia (USD 266.6 million), China (USD 197.8 million) and Türkiye (USD 188.2 million).

In January-June 2023 copper ores and concentrates claimed the first place in the list of top export items, equaling USD 336.2 million, or 22.8 percent of total exports. The exports of wine of fresh grapes totaled USD 125.7 million and their share in the total exports amounted to 8.5 percent. The exports of ferro-alloys occupied the third place, standing at USD 109.6 million and constituting 7.4 percent of the total exports.
