Consumption growth in Armenia amounted to 3.7%. At the same time, exports increased by 16.5%, and imports – by 10.9%, said Minister of Finance of Armenia Tigran Khachatryan in the parliament during a preliminary discussion of the implementation of the state budget for 2021.
Economic growth forecasts were revised several times during the reporting year. In fact, an increase of 5.7% was registered.
“The whole year there was a high inflationary background. Average inflation was 7.2%. This is a factor observed also in the current year. Nevertheless, inflation was noticeable all over the world both last year and this year,” the minister said.
