Cadez: Free Trade Agreement between Serbia and Egypt to be ratified by end-February

The Free Trade Agreement between Serbia and Egypt should be ratified by the end of February, announced the president of the Chamber of Commerce of Serbia (CCIS), Marko Cadez, and added that the opening of the first office of the CCIS in Africa was also planned.

– The CCIS intends to open the first official office in Africa, in Cairo, although it already has 10 of them worldwide. That is the plan for 2025. We have long had good relations with Egypt and Egyptian business people, but a new era of cooperation is forthcoming, following the ratification of the free trade agreement – he told the press ahead of the talks of the Egyptian delegation with representatives of over 30 Serbian companies, during the visit to Serbia of the minister of foreign affairs of Egypt, Badr Abdelatty.

Cadez said that big companies from both countries were ready not just for trade but also for joint projects. He said that many big Serbian companies were in preparations, together with the CCIS, for the opening of the office, so that everything would be done in the best way possible and so that operations in the market of Egypt would be facilitated for Serbian companies and so that it would be made easier for Egyptian companies to find partners in Serbia.

According to him, Neomedica has started trial production of hematology reagents, Sigma expects the opening of its factory, as is a Serbian company from the field of agricultural mechanization which also plans the opening of production facilities in Egypt.
