Georgia-Kazakhstan trade hits all-time high

According to Sakstat, in the first five months of 2023, the trade turnover between Georgia and Kazakhstan amounted to $254.3 million and hit a record for this season.

Exports totaled $241.8 million that is 280% more than in the same period in 2022.

The list of the largest export goods looks like this:

Vehicles – $186.8 million;

Cigars, cigarettes made from tobacco or its substitutes – 15.3 million

Mineral and fresh waters – $6.4 million;

Natural grape wines – $4 million.

Imports amount to $12.5 million.

The top import goods are as follows:

Paper and paperboard for non-chalk use, printing or other graphic purposes – 1.5 million;

Metal constructions from ferrous metals and their parts – $1 million;

Products for making sauces and ready-made sauces, mustard – $990.3 thousand;

Flat-rolled products made of carbon steel with a width of 600 mm or more – $942.1 thousand;

Products from other ferrous metals – $ 734.5 thousand.
