Kakha Kakabadze, the Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia, and Giorgi Iakobashvili, the First Deputy Head of the National Food Agency of the country, on Tuesday met Shane Danielson, the Senior Director of the International Food Assistance Division at the United States Department of Agriculture, to discuss cooperation between the two countries.
The National Food Agency said the meetings, hosted as a part of an invitation from the Department, also featured heads of the European, Asian, African and Middle Eastern divisions of the Department of Foreign Trade of the US.
Kakabadze said the parties discussed developments of international trade, with the visiting officials also being introduced to risks related to export and import and methodology of their reduction.
