Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili on Tuesday discussed trade, export markets and his country’s investment potential with Vladimír Dlouhý, the newly appointed President of Eurochambres, the Association of European Chambers of Commerce and Industry.
In the Tbilisi meeting, the head of the Government also highlighted the country’s “unique geopolitical location” and said his team was taking actions to strengthen Georgia’s role as a regional trade, digital, transport and logistics hub, the Government press office said.
Beside leading the Association, one of the largest business representative organisations in Brussels, Dlouhý also heads the Czech Chamber of Commerce.
Established in 1958, Eurochambres currently represents over 20 million businesses in Europe through 45 members and a European network of 1,700 regional and local chambers.
The organisation says more than 93 percent of these businesses are small and medium-sized enterprises, with its members employing over 120 million people.
