Ukraine increases agri-food exports by road

In the first quarter of this year, Ukraine steadily increased agri-food exports by road, experts from Spike Brokers noted.

Specifically, exports are estimated at 235.7 thsd tons in January, 281.7 thsd tons in February, and 333.2 thsd tons in March. March marked the highest monthly figure since November 2024.

“In the export structure, processed products continue to lead. The largest volumes in March were sunflower oil (30.9 thsd tons), poultry meat (27.8 thsd tons), sugar (20.4 thsd tons), soymeal (20.8 thsd tons), ethyl alcohol (20.5 thsd tons), and soybean oil (17.7 thsd tons), with oils and meals already exceeding soybeans in shipment volumes,” the experts added.

It is also noted that the main flow of road exports in March was directed to Poland (≈4.5-5.6 thsd tons/day) and Romania (≈2.4-3.6 thsd tons/day).

“The current pace at the beginning of April (≈9.8 thsd tons/day) matches late March levels, indicating continued shipment intensity,” the report added.
