Ukraine’s foreign trade deficit in goods grew 3.6% to $25.239 billion in January-November 2024, versus $24.365 billion in the respective period of 2023, Ukrainian media said, citing the State Statistics Service.
Ukraine enlarged exports by 16.5% to $38.423 billion and imports by 11% to $63.662 billion in the reporting period, the service said.
According to the service, the seasonally adjusted volume of exports increased by 0.1% to $3.5 billion in November 2024, while imports grew 4.4%, to $6.27 billion.
The seasonally adjusted balance of foreign trade was negative in November 2024 and amounted to $2.8 billion. It was also negative, $2.5 billion, in October last year.
The export-import coverage ratio for 11 months of 2024 was 0.6 (0.58 in January-November 2023).
The service also said that foreign trade operations were carried out with partners from 228 countries.
