Uzbekistan, Tajikistan agree to implement joint projects in all sectors of industry

Uzbekistan and Tajikistan have agreed to implement joint projects in all industrial sectors. To this end, the parties plan to establish joint industrial enterprises.

The Government of Tajikistan has instructed to approve the agreement on cooperation with the Government of Uzbekistan in the field of industry and new technologies and take the necessary measures to implement it, Asia-Plus reported.

The Government of Tajikistan also instructed to notify the Uzbek side that Tajikistan has performed the internal procedures required for the entry into force of the agreement.

According to the agreement, the text of which was published on the legal information portal of the Ministry of Justice of Tajikistan last weekend, it is planned to jointly implement projects in light industry, food, chemical, construction, mining, energy and machinery.

In addition, the agreement provides for the development and implementation of projects for the supply of equipment and processing technology.

It is planned to establish direct contacts between business circles and create the necessary conditions for its development. There will also be fairs and exhibitions of industrial products, forums of business circles.

The parties will take measures to develop cooperation in the production of industrial products using innovative technologies. We are talking about the development of joint projects and their implementation.

Last summer, during a visit by Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the two governments signed an agreement to set up a joint venture in Dushanbe to finance joint projects in Tajikistan.

The charter capital of the Tajik-Uzbek investment company was scheduled at $ 12 million.

The founders of the company are the Uzbekistan Fund for Reconstruction and Development with a 75% stake and SUE Tajinvest with a 25% stake.
