Georgia car export and import up in 2022

In 2022, Georgia’s car export and import increased, according to the Office of the State Treasurer, in 11th month of 2022, the budget received GEL 202.4 million in income through car excise tax which is 20% or GEL 34.1 million more compared to the data for 11 months of 2021. In 2021, the total volume of customs clearance fee amounted to GEL 185.3 million in 12 months.

In 11 months, Georgia imported cars worth $1.39 billion that is 66% more, vehicles worth $7652.8 million were re-exported that is 82% more than last year.
