Georgian domestic exports up 31.8% in January-November

Geostat said local exports in the country had accounted for 67.6 percent of total exports in the reporting period, amounting to $3.40 billion, 21.2 percent higher compared to the same period of 2021.

Georgia has exported locally produced goods worth $5.03 billion between January-November, which is a 31.8 percent increase year-on-year, preliminary data from the national statistics office of Georgia show.

Geostat said local exports in the country had accounted for 67.6 percent of total exports in the reporting period, amounting to $3.40 billion, 21.2 percent higher compared to the same period of 2021.

Georgia’s top trading partners were:
China – $621.8 million
Russia – $499.2 million
Bulgaria -$391.8 million
The five largest domestic export goods of Georgia are as follows:
Copper ores and concentrates – $932.9 million (27.4% of total exports)
Ferro-alloys – $448.3 million (13.2%)
Nitrogenous fertilisers – $249.1 million (7.3%)
Wine from fresh grapes – $231 million (6.8%)
Natural or artificial mineral and aerated waters – $103 million (3%)
In the reporting period Georgian external trade turnover amounted to $17.02 billion, posting a 32.2 percent increase year-on-year.

The value of exports rose by 31.8 percent and equalled $5.03 billion in the reported period, while imports also grew by 32.5 percent, amounting to $11.98 billion.

Türkiye ($2.55 billion), Russia ($2.20 billion) and China ($1.67 billion) were the top trading partners of Georgia in its total external trade turnover in January-November 2022.
