Ukraine’s deficit of foreign trade in goods increased 2.3% to $22.704 billion in January-October 2024 from $22.194 billion in the same period of 2023, Ukrainian media said, citing the State Statistics Service of Ukraine.
Exports of goods from Ukraine went up 15.7% to $34.727 billion in January-October 2024 year-on-year, the State Statistics Service said. Imports rose 10% to $57.432 billion year-on-year.
Ukraine’s seasonally adjusted exports grew 7% to $3.52 billion, while imports went up 1.9% to $6.02 billion in October 2024 month-on-month, it said.
The seasonally adjusted trade deficit stood at $2.5 billion in October, down from $2.62 billion recorded in September.
The export-import coverage ratio in January-October 2024 was 0.6 (0.57 in January-October 2023).
Foreign trade operations were conducted with partners from 228 countries, the service said.
