Moldova, Japan signed customs agreement

Chisinau, January 20 / MOLDPRES /- Customs Service Director Igor Talmazan and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Moldova Yoshihiro Katayama today signed Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Moldova and the Government of Japan on mutual administrative assistance and customs cooperation.

The document stipulates that the customs administrations of the two signatory states will provide mutual administrative assistance with a view to the correct application of the relevant legislation, the security of borders and the facilitation of trade.

The agreement also seeks to streamline customs fraud and to ensure the security of the international trade supply chain.

The signing ceremony of the agreement was preceded by a bilateral meeting, during which the Director of the Customs Service and the Ambassador of Japan to Chisinau discussed the current state of customs cooperation between Moldova and Japan, expressing their readiness for further development of bilateral dialogue. customs.
